MotorGP accessoriesAfter the exciting race at Laguna Seca on Sunday, the MotoGP 2010 standings are finally starting to take shape and there does look like a clear winner. With Jorge Lorenzo picking up his sixth win this season and coming second in the other three races, the 2010 MotoGP champion is looking like it could be awarded to Jorge Lorenzo.  The current MotoGP leader finds himself a massive 72 points in the lead over hes closest rival and fellow Spanish friend Dani Pedrosa who currently lies second in the standings on 138 points.  With such a large lead and 8 races left it will be difficult for Dani Pedrosa to catch Jorge Lorenzo but we have seen stranger things happen in MotoGP before.

At the Laguna Seca in USA the ninth race finished with Jorge Lorenzo finishing just +3.517 seconds being the difference between him and Casey Stoner who is currently in forth place on 103 points. Dani Pedrosa failed to finish the race as he crashed while leading the race on lap 11 turn5. As Dani Pedrosa crashed out of the race he must have been thinking Jorge Lorenzo would capitalise and extend the 47 point lead to 72 which is exactly what happened.

In other news Valentino Rossi couldn’t be more happy with his third place finish especially to say he broke his leg only 51 days before the race. With Brno race only a few weeks away it would be very interesting to see where Valentino Rossi will finish, if Jorge Lorenzo will extend his 72 point lead and what else this season MotoGP has to offer.
